Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and have you ever felt lost, not knowing where you fit? After I left college, when all of my friends were getting married, I looked down at my wheelchair and I felt lost. I was torn between the world of my friends going to college, and the world of people back at the hospital. For all of my life, I had been on my feet, active and athletic. But now, I was facing life paralyzed in a wheelchair. My identity was wrapped up in the world I had lost, and I remember crying to my sister, “Jay, I don’t know who I am.” You know, we’ve got this idea that knowing ourselves is extremely complicated in psychological terms, but Colossians 3 says, “For your life is now hidden with Christ in God.” Friend, it’s simple. The more you know Christ, the more the person God designed you to be will be revealed. You can truly know who you are by getting to know Christ better. Make that your goal today.
