Unique Service

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and I remember when Beverly, a grandmother, decided to join us on a trip to deliver wheelchairs to needy disabled people in Romania. She served on the prayer team. But halfway through the trip, Beverly asked God to show her how she might serve him in a more hands-on way. That’s when she remembered the photograph in her wallet of her grandson with severe disabilities. So she took it out, walked over to a Romanian family with a disabled child, and showed it to the parents and grandparents. Beverly could not speak their language, but immediately this family sensed a kindred spirit with her, and the tears began to flow – here was an American woman who truly understood their plight. If Beverly were here now, she would tell you that, yes, there are all sorts of unusual opportunities for you to serve with us. Find out for yourself at joniandfriends.org. Again, that’s joniandfriends.org.
