Troy’s Service

Troy has been wanting to help out at church for a long time. So long, he can’t even remember when he first wanted to help! But recently, he had some grownups help him find a way he could serve his church. He gets to help as an usher and help collect the offering. He is so happy to do this! Sometimes it can be hard for kids and young people to find ways to help at church. But there are lots of things you can do. If you want to serve God and His people at your church, here are some ideas you can ask a grownup about:

• Welcoming people as they come in
• Handing out bulletins or song sheets
• Helping with the offering
• Collecting the communion cups after the service
• Organizing the hymn books and Bibles after church
• Looking for any trash left in people’s seats
• Cleaning up after the break time
