They Have No Understanding

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and I love horses. Growing up my sister Kathy owned a quarter-horse named Casey Reds. Sadly, as a colt, he had been abused by his former owners and you could detect the sadness in his eyes. That horse had lost his spirit. And you know, sometimes what is true for a brute beast is true for many people. They have no understanding about what they’ve suffered or why; and without understanding, there’s so much sadness in their lives. But Proverbs 2 says, “… if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding … then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.”

So friend, if you’re hurting, “Cry aloud for understanding” and ask God to show you his wisdom regarding the sad things that have happened. You’re no brute beast. You are a creation of God.
