Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. When eight-year-old Lindy, with cerebral palsy went home to be with Jesus, her parents honored her by personally giving her red wheelchair to our “Wheels for the World” outreach. They even ended up joining our Wheels team to Peru where we presented Lindy’s little red wheelchair to eleven-year-old Christian, who also had cerebral palsy. Living in a little village with his six brothers and sisters, Christian’s parents were so tired of carrying him everywhere; that little boy never even had the opportunity to attend school. But Lindy’s little red chair with shoulder and foot straps was perfectly suited for Christian; it gave him the opportunity to go to school for the first time. I love the way Jesus always provides help and hope through our wheelchair outreach! Visit joniandfriends.org to see how we are changing lives like Christian’s one wheelchair at a time. Again, that’s joniandfriends.org.
