A Passion to Help People Impacted by Disability

When one of my co-workers makes it into a framed photo on my desk shelf, it really means something! My shelves are speckled with photos of people and events that inspire me and keep me ‘going.’ And when I think of encouraging men who’ve made long-time investments in Wheels for the World, Dana Croxton and Jim Cowart come to mind.

These two top-notch seating-mechanics are experts at adjusting wheelchairs according to the measurements from our volunteer-PTs. Whether it’s fashioning a chest harness or a headrest for a child with CP, or visiting people with disabilities who are shut-in and cannot come to a Joni and Friends Wheels for the World distribution site, Jim and Dana make it happen – they have a love for Christ, a passion to help people with disabilities, and they serve with humility and selflessness.

Join me in praying today for our Wheels for the World team heading to the Dominican Republic. Also, Wheels teams will be serving throughout March in Cuba. Ask God to open the hearts of the many hundreds of people with disabilities who, this month, will be blessed by the love of Christ given through Wheels for the World!
