The Lord Has Helped Me
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and remember the story when Samuel set up a stone memorial after the Philistines were defeated? He raised up a tall pillar of big rocks, and he lifted his hands and said, “thus far the Lord has helped us.” Now, Samuel did not pile up those boulders by himself; he had lots of help. And in the same way, I’ve had lots of help as I look at my Ebenezer; that, that is, this wheelchair. I look back on my years in this chair and I say, “Thus far the Lord has helped me.” But like Samuel, I haven’t done it on my own. I’ve had lots of help. And friend, that’s true for you. When you raise your Ebenezer; when you look back over the years and say, “Thus far the Lord has helped me,” it includes a lot of people that God has put in your life to help ya along the way. So, thank God for His faithfulness today, and thank Him for the many faithful people who have provided help in your life.
