Let’s quickly unpack that. First, submit; that is, give it all over to God. Next, lift up your shield of faith, grasp the sword of the Spirit – which is the Word of God – and resist the devil; that is, push away Satan by firing back at him every faith-filled promise from the Bible you can think of. Finally, draw near to God, the Captain of your salvation; he will neutralize every grenade the devil tosses your way. Try memorizing James 4:7 before the day ends. ’Cause don’t get caught off guard. Be ready, like the good soldier that you are!
