Rise and Shine!

On these bright mornings, are you waking up really early? The sunlight comes through your curtains and you are awake! Waking up like that is always more fun than having your mom or dad call out to you. It’s a great way to start the day. That’s kind of how it is with God’s glory. Isaiah 60:1 says, “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you” (NIV). Just like it is refreshing to start your day with sunlight peeking through your windows to gently wake you up, God refreshes us when we let His light stream into our lives. God in His glory can meet you as you open your eyes every morning. That is certainly a good reason to rise and shine!
