Rosario and Patricia

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada.  And in Guatemala, Rosa’s weekly routine is grueling.  With her 3-year-old on her back, Rosa pushes her disabled daughter Patricia in a stroller that she’s long outgrown.  They know poverty well, and getting a wheelchair suited to Patricia’s needs seemed an impossible dream.  Who would blame Rosa for feeling hopeless and exhausted?  But rather than pity, God showed His love for them through the help of our Wheels for the World team.  After Rosa watched our team of volunteer physical therapists and mechanics fit Patricia to her very own wheelchair, she said, “God bless you for coming and for having the heart to care for my daughter.”  Oh friend, the spiritual impact of a wheelchair and Bible given in the name of Jesus is life-changing for every member of the family.  You want to learn more about Wheels for the World, just look us up at
