Restored Wheelchairs and Lives

A man cleaning a wheelchair and restoring it in a warehouse with all kinds of tools in it.

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. You’ve heard me talk about Wheels for the World, but what you may not know is that behind every wheelchair we distribute, is the life of a prisoner. You see, the wheelchairs we collect are restored by inmates in correctional facilities. And in the process: their lives are restored. Just listen to this note we received from David: He wrote, “Joni, thank you for all that you do for me and thousands of prisoners … Please accept my humble gift of $10 as a crumb from the Lord’s Table to be distributed to others who have much greater needs.” David is doing what Ephesians chapter 4 commands: no longer is he doing harm; David now works honestly to have something to share with those in need.

So join me in praying and thanking God for these prisoners, will you? Learn more about Wheels for the World; just visit joniandfriends.org.
