Jesus Loves Children
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and Jesus loved children. We see it throughout the Gospels. In Mark chapter 10, Jesus tells the disciples that you cannot get into God’s kingdom unless you accept it the way a child does. But Jesus not only expresses His love for children in words — but also through His works and miracles. Jesus healed the son of the official in Capernaum, He raised Jairus’ daughter from the dead, He even fed five thousand people with fish and bread provided by a little boy. And because Jesus had such a heart for children, we ought to as well. Whether it’s your own child, your niece or nephew, or your little neighbor who plays outside on the sidewalk – share the love of Jesus with a boy or girl you know. Reach out to them with a Bible story, or a song or share with their parents about AWANA. Because God wants you and me to have a heart for His little ones, too. Just as the Sunday School song goes, Jesus does love the little children.
