Pray for El Salvador’s Family Retreat

While many of us are layering up and holding onto cups of hot cocoa, it’s summertime in Central America — and that means our ministry partners in El Salvador are gearing up for an International Family Retreat! Tomorrow, families affected by disabilities will arrive at camp. And oh, what fun is in store for them — activities like horseback riding, swimming, and a visit to the beach! For many of these Salvadoran families, attending Family Retreat is like a vacation they could never afford or experience on their own.

What’s more, it’s a chance for parents to be encouraged in Christ, siblings to make new friends, and children with disabilities to be genuinely celebrated for who they are! It’s why I’m asking you to pray for these special needs families and the volunteers serving them this week. Ask that spirits will be bolstered, friendships will be made, and most importantly, that hearts will turn to Jesus.
