Overcoming Fear

Melissa is 14-years-old and has Down syndrome. She used to have a hard time making friends. She worried they wouldn’t like her because she had a disability. But Melissa decided she wouldn’t let her disability or fear stop her from having a good time. She wanted to try something new and exciting…basketball! Melissa was still a little afraid as she stepped out on the court. She didn’t even know how to play! But God reminded Melissa He would help her just like He helped His disciples when they were scared. And guess what? The other kids didn’t care one bit about Melissa’s disability!
