No Anxiety About The Future
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. The other day I was reading Proverbs 31, and I stopped at that curious verse that says, “She smiles at the future.” I asked myself, do I smile at the future?
Fears about the future could destroy my inner peace. But, if Jesus died for me, certainly He is going to take care of me, right?! I mean, in dying for me, He has already proven that He would go to great depths to take care of me! So, I can smile about the days to come. And so can you. Your joy and confidence must be in Jesus, your Savior and Lord. Cast all your anxieties about the future on Him because He cares for you, just as it says in 1 Peter.
So, without a hint of cockiness, join me in laughing at the future with holy abandon. Like the Proverbs 31 woman, we can smile at the future. ʼCause there’s no need to fear. Your future and mine is held tightly in God’s tender, loving hands!
