Beyond Suffering for College Credit

Indiana Wesleyan University Logo

Indiana Wesleyan University partners with the Christian Institute on Disability to offer undergraduate and graduate credit for our online Beyond Suffering Certificate Course to any student who is qualified and would like to have this option available. Students must have a high school diploma to earn three (3) units of transferrable undergraduate credit and have an undergraduate degree to earn three (3) units of transferrable graduate credit.

In order to receive graduate credit for Beyond Suffering, please enclose proof of completion of your undergraduate degree (official transcript from degree granting institution) with your application and payment. The transcript with the degree should be sent to the Indiana Wesleyan University Registrar's Office:

Kimberly Nicholson, MA
University Registrar

Indiana Wesleyan University
4201 S Washington St
Marion, IN 46953-4974

The application and payment must be submitted to the CID before the course begins. The total cost for either undergraduate or graduate credit is $495.00 plus the cost of materials. The check should be designated to Indiana Wesleyan University. The CID will forward the materials to IWU.

All students are solely responsible to verify with their educational institutions if they will accept the transferrable three credit hours from IWU for the Beyond Suffering course. Students will be responsible to follow through by completing the required paperwork in order to receive the credit hours. This partnership offers tremendous value to the students of The Christian Institute on Disability who are interested in earning college credit. We are very thankful for IWU's strong commitment to non-traditional forms of theological education and for the confidence they have in the mission and vision of Joni and Friends.
