Meet the Sellers Family!

When Matt and Christy Sellers first met, they found that they each had a heart for adoption. When the time came to adopt, they chose to embrace and love three little children – children the world sometime refers to as “a burden.” Today, their hearts and home are filled with three little kids with Down syndrome: Endale, Levi, and LillyAnn.

All year long, families affected by disability live on the edge of exhaustion: sleepless nights, endless medical appointments, dreary routines, and financial pressures. They desperately need a place where they can receive spiritual encouragement and connect with others who are going through the same things. And that’s exactly what happens at Family Retreat!

At Family Retreat, the Sellers Family experienced a safe environment with a community of families with whom they could relate. Worship, Bible teaching, and rich fellowship provided encouragement through the hope of the Gospel.

Christy was renewed emotionally and spiritually at Family Retreat.

“I had a hard time last year. I was feeling overwhelmed and discouraged. At Family Retreat, God reminded me that He’s equipped me and that He’s right here with me during this journey of raising three children with Down syndrome,” she told us.

Today, thousands of families are waiting for a scholarship that will open the door to a Joni and Friends Family Retreat this summer. For many, a scholarship for the family member with a disability will make all the difference.

Your gift of $360 today will scholarship a member from one of these hurting families to be renewed and restored at a Family Retreat this summer.

Will you partner with us today to restore families with the hope of Jesus?
