Phillip’s Love Bears

Love BearsMeet Phillip — a young man with a powerful ministry! Soon after his birth, Phillip was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder known as Prader-Willi Syndrome. This disorder often results in low muscle tone, chronic overeating and obesity, intellectual disability and shortness in height. But it’s because of Phillip’s experience with disability and suffering, that several years ago Phillip told his family he wanted to start stuffing teddy bears to “help children who were hurting.” And so, Phillip’s Love Bears was started. Though Phillip has many physical and mental challenges, he painstakingly assists in hand stuffing many of his teddy bears. And just this past summer, Phillip gifted his beautiful teddy bears to each special needs family who attended our Arizona Family Retreat (Thanks, Phillip!). Galatians 5:13 says, “Through love serve one another” and that’s just what Phillip is doing. So, be encouraged to do the same! And then, leave a note of thanks to Phillip for being such a great example on what it means to serve with the love of Jesus!
