Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and our immense solar system is just one small speck in the Milky Way galaxy: it’s an average-sized galaxy among billions. And just think: on this tiny earth, out of the billions of people, the Lord of the universe came to earth to save you. Wow! You know, Psalm 8 says, “When I look up into the night skies and see the work of your fingers the moon and the stars… I cannot understand how you can bother with mere man!” Ah, but wait, the Lord of the heavens went to the cross for you and you have His undivided attention. Friend, right now Jesus is up there preparing a marvelous place for you and me – a place way beyond the stars.

So tonight, step outside in your backyard and marvel at how the heavens proclaim the glory of the Lord! Lift your hands and thank Him for your salvation. Then, head to bed, knowing your sleep will be all the sweeter.
