Wheelchairs for our children! The news was almost too good to be true. “I always hoped to find a wheelchair somewhere, somehow – but they are very expensive and we could never afford one,” explained Sylvia. “For years we have carried Aldea, but now that she’s 5 years old, that’s impossible.” Because she has never had the right seat, she can’t sit up for more than 10 minutes at a time. So even though she is bright and curious, Aldea has spent most of her time in bed. Your prayers sent exactly the right wheelchair for Aldea! Joni and Friends’ Wheels for the World volunteer therapists are dedicated professionals – they recognized that Aldea needed a wheelchair that would strengthen her muscles and teach her to sit up properly.
