Lia with her Braille typewriterbraille type

Have you ever seen a book written in Braille? Braille is a language people who are blind or can’t see very well use to read and write. Braille books look very different from printed books. The pages are plain white and covered in little bumps. Each bump represents a letter or number. Because Lia is blind, she uses a Braille typewriter to write. Check out Lia’s picture and look very carefully at the difference between her keyboard and the one on your computer. When you are done, click here to learn some Braille.
