Learning From the Horse

Silvia, Anissa, and Holly each made a horse necklace after they heard Joni’s story because they found out how much Joni likes horses. Before her accident Joni loved to ride horses, now she just enjoys watching them. Did you know there are things you can learn from a horse? You might think it silly to think of a horse as a school book, but there are lots of things you can learn from a horse! In the Bible, God asks Job, “Job, do you give horses their strength? Do you put flowing manes on their necks? Do you make them jump like locusts? They terrify others with their proud snorting. They paw the ground wildly. They are filled with joy. They charge at their enemies. They laugh at fear. They are not afraid of anything” (Job 39:19-22, NIrV). God asked Job if he made horses to be big and strong, and of course the answer is No! God made them. Just like these horse necklaces tell you a little bit about the colors and shapes each girl likes, real horses can teach you a little bit about God. If He can make horses so strong and mighty, God must be very, very powerful!
