Laughing in the New Year

With a new year, chances are you have been thinking about the future. What will 2015 be like? It can be very exciting to think about getting taller or growing older and getting to do more things. The year 2015 will have LOTS of good things. But starting a new year can also be a little scary. Maybe your family will be moving or your grandpa is sick. What will happen? Even though we can’t know the future, God does, and He promises that we can look forward to it. In Romans 8:19 it says, “Everything God created looks forward to the future. That will be the time when his children appear in their full and final glory” (NIrV). And have you read Proverbs 31:25 lately? It says that someone who is wise can laugh at the days that are coming! How can that be? Someone who is wise knows God is in control and that the most important days to come are the days of eternity. Are you looking forward to the future and laughing at the days to come?
