Kid’s Corner Summer Reading Program

Summer ReadingSummer is a great time for reading. That’s why Joni and Friends Kids’ Corner wants to invite kids to participate in our Summer Reading Program. To participate, read three books about disability before September 1. Then write to [email protected]. Tell us which three books you read and which one you liked the best. Once you’ve done these steps, you earn a prize!

If you need ideas about which books to read, consider reading a book about a famous person who had a disability, like Thomas Edison, Hellen Keller, or Franklin D. Roosevelt. You can also read picture books like Leo the Late Bloomer, We’ll Paint the Octopus Read, or What’s Wrong with Timmy? And of course, you can read Joni’s book! If you need more ideas, ask your librarian or ask your parents to look for other lists online. We look forward to hearing from you!
