Ken Tada’s Example

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and my husband Ken makes scripture memory a priority. After he helps me out of my wheelchair and into bed in the evening, he sits out on our back porch and rehearses all the scriptures he’s memorized, as well as learning some new ones. He’s learned hundreds of verses by heart, and he tells me it has its benefits. Like, it says in John chapter 15 that if God’s words abide in us, we can ask God knowing he will accomplish his will through our prayers. And Colossians chapter 3 says that when God’s Word dwells in us, we’ll have his wisdom. And Psalm 19 says that knowing God’s Word converts our soul. Friend, these are just a few of the incredible rewards you don’t want to miss out on, so follow Ken’s example! And hey, Ken talks about memorizing scripture in a book we wrote together. Find out about it at joniandfriends.org. I’m Joni Eareckson Tada.
