Joni and Ken ‘On the Road Again’

Early Tuesday morning Ken and I (with helper Rainey) fly to Chicago where I’ll speak at the Association of Christian Schools International conference. I’m scheduled to give my message Thursday afternoon, 3:15 PM central time. Yes, I plan to offer Christ-centered encouragement to the attendees (including those watching by live video-feed in regional locations), but I’ll also talk about the need for Christian schools to embrace young people who are not as ‘able’ as their classmates. I feel a deep need for your prayers, so thank you for remembering me this week in your intercessions (safely transferring on and off planes, good rest, alert minds, strong backs, and happy hearts)! Also, I’m still overflowing with praise and thanksgiving to God, just reading all your uplifting ‘Happy Birthday’ comments on the blog – and a wonderful birthday it was, celebrating the sweetness, the loveliness, the preciousness of our Savior. And when I return from my trip? I’ll do a little online shopping with a couple of those birthday gift certificates :-).
