Joni Eareckson Tada Celebrates 40 Years of Radio Ministry

For over four decades, Joni Eareckson Tada has been sharing hope through hardship on her Joni and Friends radio program. With more than 10,000 episodes aired, Joni is commemorating 40 years of broadcast ministry in 2022 with a new radio program title – Joni Eareckson Tada: Sharing Hope.

“With every milestone, I am rejoicing in the hope of God. Never would I have made it this far without his hope. I am all about sharing the God of all hope with others,” says Joni, “and I look forward to helping listeners strengthen their hope in Christ in this thrilling new season of radio outreach.”

When she first broke her neck at age 17, Joni thought her life was over. But it was through Christian friends that God pulled her out of the darkness of depression and suicidal thoughts. Since then, it’s been Joni’s passion to share the same hope she found in Jesus with everyone who suffers. Every week she reaches more than 1 million listeners around the world through her broadcast ministry.

Joni’s exciting radio program title change rolls out in May 2022 as part of the year-long anniversary celebration. This change also highlights the biblical encouragement that’s been shared with listeners over the past 40 years and engages a new generation of radio listeners who are looking for their daily dose of inspiration and hope in Jesus.
