Intern Extraordinaire

Jessica and JoniJessica Ebersole has been around Joni and Friends for years — back in 1999, she and her twin sister, Amanda (both have cerebral palsy) attended a Family Retreat along with their parents and brother. Since then, Jessica has spent most of her summers at our camps for special needs families—especially since her father serves as our U.S. Area Ministries Director. But this summer was different. A senior at Trinity International University, Jessica is majoring in communications with an emphasis on ministry and this past summer, she interned with us through our internship program. Using her gift of writing and her experience with disabilities and missions, Jessica served in our Internship Response departments. Jessica and the other interns were a blessing to all of us at our International Disability Center – each intern is a living testimony of Philippians 4:13, fulfilling God’s calling on their lives through His strength. So, if you know someone like Jessica interested in gaining practical and professional skills for disability ministry, visit our Internships page. And then, to hear Jessica share her own story, check out my radio page and listen in on our interview.
