Palm SundayDid you know yesterday was Palm Sunday? You might have learned about it in Sunday school. On Palm Sunday, Christians celebrate Jesus coming to Jerusalem the week before he died on the cross. When Jesus arrived in Jerusalem, huge crowds of people came to welcome Him. They were so excited to see Jesus; they waved palm branches and shouted “Hosanna,” which meant “save now.” Back in those days, palm branches represented goodness and victory, and were often on coins and important buildings. The people saw Jesus as a very important person, much like a president, who they hoped would overthrow the Romans. But we know that He came to save us from our sins by dying on the cross!
