He Believed Big Time

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and when it comes to believing, there is somebody in scripture who believed in a most extraordinary way. And that somebody is in Luke 23, a thief who hung on the cross beside the Savior. Now, the one criminal was hurling insults at Jesus ‑‑ he didn’t believe at all. But the other one told him to stop it, and then he turned to the Lord and said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” It was an incredible display of faith… that this dying felon should put his trust in the Lord who was hanging there on a cross beside him… that he should believe in Jesus, seeing him in agony and weakness…to me, that’s amazing!

And that should say something to you and me when we feel crucified by our own problems and pain. Because this same dying Savior still reaches down through the centuries to deliver you. And isn’t that good news?!
