Harvest Project Hero

I’m so proud of the many Harvest Project partners that work with our Wheels for the World outreach – these Harvest leaders share our vision to give wheelchairs, the Bible, and the Gospel with disabled people in developing nations. Richard St. Denis, an American who has a ministry near Mexico City, has been partnering with Wheels for the World for many years. His outreach in Mexico employs people with disabilities at his restoration center, fitting them to wheelchairs and teaching them skills.

Richard broke his back in 1976, the same year the Joni book was published (which he read). He’s a vibrant Christian, and in 2011 he even won the CNN Heroes Award. Finally, as you can see in the photo, I fell in love with Richard’s service dog, Max! Please be praying for all our Harvest Project partners as they, too, join us in giving the gift of mobility, as well as the gift of the Gospel to people with disabilities around the world!
