Growing

When it is cold and gray outside, it is natural to start wishing for spring. When will the trees start showing green leaves again? When will grass and flowers start poking through the snow? It is easy to think about the plants growing up, because that is what we see. But there is something a lot more important going on! If you’ve ever planted a bean sprout to watch it grow, you know that the roots grow first and spread a lot further than the little sprout on top of the soil. Have you ever thought about how you are like that little bean? When we make sure we are rooted solidly in God’s Word and in spending time with God, then our lives will produce good fruit! Are you seeing good fruit in your life? If not, check those roots!
