I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and my wheelchair has taught me to live a cross-centered life. But my friend, C.J. Mahaney writes, “A cross-centered life is made up of cross-centered days.” And CJ gives five practical suggestions for living a cross-centered life. Daily we must preach the Gospel to ourselves. And you know, I do that almost every morning on the way to work – I rehearse out loud all the blessings that Jesus secured for us on the cross. We should never tire of thanking Him for blood shed on the cross. My friend CJ also suggests that we sing the Gospel – boy, that’s something easy for me to do; I love to sing hymns. “In the cross, in the cross…” And lastly, study the Gospel – friend, never be content with your current grasp of the Good News. Grow in your passion for Jesus! Remember, if we want a cross-centered life, you gotta live cross-centered days.
