God Knows the Details

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and you know, God’s greatest plans often hinge on the tiniest of details. Like in the story of Esther, where the entire Jewish race was about to be exterminated under the Persian king. In Esther 6 we read, “That night the king could not sleep; so he ordered the book of the Chronicles, the record of his reign, to be brought in and read to him.” Well, with a very long and somewhat boring book like that, you’d think the king would have fallen asleep. 

But instead, he came across the name of a very special Jew. When he asked about Mordecai, the uncle of Queen Esther, the king learned that Mordecai had never been honored for his good deeds. With that little detail, the entire race of Jewish people was saved. God’s greatest plans often hinge on the tiniest occurrences. So take heart today: God’s got the details of your life covered in the same way! Have doubts? Then just take time to read the story of Esther.
