On Giving Tuesday…
Your Gift Will Give a Child New Life
There is a small home in the poverty-stricken village of Brasov, Romania. In this home, lives a young boy named Zoltan, who was born with Cerebral Palsy. Unable to move freely, Zoltan has spent most of his life in the shadows of his home.
If you could change the life of a disabled child who is isolated and overlooked, would you?
Zoltan’s mother, Gabby, takes care of him without any help from friends or family. Although Zoltan is unable to walk or speak, he shares a special bond with his mother. Gabby is his voice, transportation, and help. Zoltan relies on his mother for his every need. But as he grows, his disability weighs heavier on Gabby.
Their story is not unique. In developing nations around the world, those affected by disability and their families are isolated from their community. Access to a wheelchair is extremely expensive, if one can be located at all. A wheelchair provides hope and dignity to these families. To Gabby, this seemed impossible to imagine.
More than 70 million people worldwide are in need of a wheelchair.
Through Joni and Friends Wheels for the World, the gift of mobility and the hope of the Gospel is given to those affected by disability worldwide. Our volunteers and supporters like you transform the lives of those like Zoltan and Gabby.
Children like Zoltan need you.
You can give them the gift of mobility and access to their community.
Each pediatric wheelchair chair costs just $220. Would you be willing to give a gift to change a life? Your gift of any size will make a difference on this global day of giving – Tuesday, November 27th.
When you give to Joni and Friends
- You provide mobility in a place where wheelchairs are scarce.
- Your gift will provide the hope of Christ where it is needed most.
So, friend, join us in making a difference today. Give the gift of mobility on #GivingTuesday and help children just like Zoltan find acceptance in their community!
