Mr. DiegoWe’re back with another friend of Kids’ Corner, Mr. Diego. He works in the Fulfillment Department at Joni and Friends, and we are so glad he does! Let’s learn more about him and how his job helps others.

Mr. Diego, when you were a kid, did you have friends who had disabilities?

In kindergarten I made friends with Paul. He had braces on both of his legs and no kids would play with him. So another friend of mine invited me to play with him and we became friends.

What is something you wish you had known when you were a kid?

I wish I had known that I didn’t need to be shy about smiling at kids with disabilities and working to get to know him or her. I didn’t know that my smile might be the only smile they got all day.

Can you remember what job you wanted to have as a kid?

I wanted to be a forklift driver!

What do you do now at Joni and Friends?

I’m the person that sends out Joni and Friends products to your home.

What would you tell our readers they can do now if they would like to have a job like yours when they grow up?

First, you have to love Jesus with all of your heart, mind, soul and strength. Second, pray for a job that is on your heart. Third, allow the Lord to open the door to the place where He would like you to work.

Thank you for visiting with us, Mr. Diego. Before we close, what is one thing about you that might surprise us?

I like to imitate cartoon and character voices!
