For A Song

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. When I travel around the world, I like to linger in cavernous cathedrals. And if no one is around, I sing, filling the arching ceilings with a hymn, like, “O Worship the King,” and I’ll sing it as loud as I can. For me, it’s important to remind those old cathedrals who designed them, who is King of their space, and that they are only great because God gave the architects and builders their big idea in the first place. Friend, everywhere you and I go, everywhere we visit, every square foot of ground, is territory we can claim for a song to the God of the Bible. After all Psalm 15 says, “O Lord, open my lips and my mouth will declare your praise.”

So, sing next time you’re in a big empty building, or even the great outdoors! And may the praise of our God and Savior always be on your lips wherever you go.
