Little Ellory is diagnosed high on the autism spectrum and is a “runner” (Ellory immediately dashes away any time a door is opened, or someone lets go of her arm). But now, through the help of Joni and Friends, Ellory’s parents have secured a service dog for their daughter. Hazel, a Labrador retriever, has been trained to stop Ellory from running away :-). The first time Ellory met Hazel, she wasn’t happy at all with her new big dog – but you can see from the photo they’ve become best friends. And recently? And The whole family – including Hazel – attended our Family Retreat at Wonder Valley Ranch. Learn more about service dogs on our Help and Resources tab!
