Don’t Get Bored, Get Creative

Sleep. That’s what you do when you are lying in bed, right? But what if you have to be in bed for a long time? Think back to Christmas time. What if you had to be in bed from Christmas all the way until now? How would you fill all that time? Watching movies? Reading books? Playing games? You might get very, very bored! Joni once had to be in bed for that much time. People who sit in wheelchairs can sometimes get big sores that can only heal when they stay lying down. So one time when Joni had to lie down for three months, a friend got creative and helped her find something she could do. This friend made a way that Joni could paint while flat on her back! And this is the picture Joni painted! And remember, Joni was painting with the brush in her mouth! So the next time you start getting a little bored, get creative instead. You never know what you might be able to do!
