Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Long ago when I was speaking at a church in Colorado Springs, I shared about Wheels for the World and how prisoners restore the wheelchairs that we collect across the country. A church elder sittin’ in the pew got a bright idea. Since he worked for the state prison system, he offered to help set up a restoration shop in a prison in central Colorado. If that weren’t enough, he ended up collecting wheelchairs and eventually served on seven Wheels for the World trips to developing nations.

This church elder really got a heart for giving Christ through the gift of a wheelchair. And look, you don’t have to be a church elder or even help introduce us to a prison in your area. But you can help us collect wheelchairs. Find out how by visiting our Wheels for the World page at joniandfriends.org. Again, that’s Wheels for the World at joniandfriends.org. I just love it when someone gets motivated to jump in and become part of Wheels for the World.
