Vera Overholt, a polio survivor, always brought joy to everyone around her – especially at our Family Retreats in Ohio. Vera and her sisters loved coming to our Family Retreats where they won many friends and participated in as many activities as possible. At one Retreat, she signed up for the motorcycle ride, but asked to go a second time “because he didn’t go fast enough!” A year and a half ago, Vera suffered a stroke from which she never fully recovered; her health declined, and last week, surrounded by her family, she quietly went home to be with her Savior. Although she will be greatly missed, we are so happy she is free from her debilitating polio, and will be able to go “as fast as she wants” in her new glorified body. (We’d love for you to get in on the fun and fellowship that Vera so enjoyed at Family Retreats; sign up today as a volunteer or come as a special-needs family)!
