Courage To Move To The Front

I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and I love the reflections of Lettie Cowman in her book “Streams in the Desert.” She talks about how, in a battle against a strong enemy, nothing is more frightening for a soldier – yet at the same time, more stirring – than to hear his commanding officer shout, “Move to the front!” At once, the soldier is gripped with fear. But, if he remembers his calling, he will find his courage. Afterall, he’s called to fight. And so are we. God says in Joshua chapter 1, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Friend, is the enemy threatening you today? Then rally your senses. When it comes to the heat of the cosmic battle between heaven and hell, do not stay in the rear. Christ is your captain and He has overcome. Find your courage and together let’s move to the front. I’m Joni Eareckson Tada.
