Bunny’s Prayer Tree

Joni’s friend Bunny loves to pray. When she was a little girl, she had a favorite tree she liked to climb. She would climb that tree, carrying a book that had a map of the seven continents of the world. Once she was high up in her tree she pretended to sail all over the world. As she pretended to sail, she would put her hand on a part of the map and pray for that place. She knew that God loves to hear the prayers of children, and so she would pray again and again for the countries and lands she saw in her map. As Bunny grew up, she still loved to pray. She traveled to lots of places just so she could pray there! She has always known that her prayers matter. But she thinks the most important prayers are prayers for kids! And that’s something you can do, too. You can pray for your brothers and sisters, for your friends and classmates. You can pray for the kids you read about on Kids’ Corner. Or maybe, like Joni’s friend, you will find a map and pray for kids all around the world.
