Broken Bones in Haiti

Joni and Friends in HaitiHave you ever broken a bone? Did you get to choose a color for your cast and then ask people to sign their names all over it? Breaking a bone can be scary and painful, and getting to make the cast prettier is a good way to make it more fun. But in lots of places, it is not possible to make a cast prettier. It isn’t even possible to make a cast! This boy lives in the country of Haiti. He broke both legs and so his parents took him to the hospital. But the hospital could only make one cast. They didn’t have everything they needed to make a second one. So they told the boy that when the first leg was all better, they would carefully cut the cast off and use it again on his other leg. That’s just the best they could do. A little while later a Wheels for the World team visited and did what they could to help this boy and his family. They found a wheelchair for the boy and then did the very best thing: they told the boy and his parents about Jesus. Tomorrow Joni and Friends is sending another Wheels for the World team to the country of Haiti. Will you pray for the people on the team to be able to do their very best in matching a wheelchair to each person and in sharing the message of hope in Jesus? Thank you!
