Bozez And Seneh

As a quadriplegic in a wheelchair, I know something about trials! Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and although life is hard, I draw inspiration from 1 Samuel where Jonathan plans to take the Philistines by surprise – just he and his armor-bearer. If that weren’t crazy enough, they need to climb over two high, rocky crags in the dead of night. The Bible even names those two mountain crags: Bozez and Seneh. Why include this strange detail? Because those crags were famous for being impassible. But they were also famous for providing a strategic position for victory. Now, often, I feel like I’m squeezed between Bozez and Seneh – between trials that feel impassible! But I do what Jonathan did: I just keep climbing higher. So, friend, keep at it. And watch your trials become the strategic position from which you can trust God, gain victory, and showcase His glory.
