Times Square Church

There’s nothing like praying on the streets of New York City. And sometimes even a few passersby might join you. What can I say, but that the joy of having the chance to speak at Times Square Church was so Spirit-blessed, the rejoicing overflowed onto the streets!

Arriving in New York earlier in the week, I enjoyed lively podcast and online interviews with Lauren Green, religion editor at FOX News. Our time together focused on Joni and Friends delivering over 1,100 wheelchairs, walkers and Beyond Suffering Bibles to disabled people affected by Hurricane Harvey. Times Square ChurchBut the most heartwarming experience was speaking at the Sunday worship service at Times Square Church in the heart of Broadway. We delighted in the presence of the Holy Spirit (little wonder, given that scores of Christians show up at 6 AM to start praying). Should you ever visit Manhattan, don’t miss attending Sunday service at Times Square Church. As with every meeting during the trip, we gathered ‘whoever’s left’ to pray, asking God to seal His work in the hearts of every attendee. Yes, on the sidewalks of New York!

Yes, we labored long, hard, and happily, but Deuteronomy 33:25 was our anchor: “As your days, so shall your strength be.” Our days were super busy, but God’s grace was superabundant! Ken Tada and I can’t stop thanking God for giving us the strength and the opportunities to serve him through Joni and Friends – and bless you for following us on Facebook. I always enjoy reading your comments while we are on the road!
