Square Dancing… Family Retreat Style

Many years ago when I was on my feet, I used to love square-dancing – and now when Ken and I go to Family Retreats? We usually have a chance to do a few “do-se-dos” and “swing your partners” with a lot of other special-needs families. I love this snapshot of us square dancing at the recent Family Retreat in New England! It’s this kind of clap-your-hands, foot-stomping fun that really refreshes weary and worn-out hearts, giving moms and dads a chance to respond to the powerful message of Christ’s transforming love. It’s a busy summer season at Joni and Friends and next week we’ll be holding 5 more Family Retreats – so please be asking God to soften souls to the Gospel of Jesus.
