Joni and Christi in Knoxville
Yes, we’re back in LA, but when you love the Lord Jesus, home can be almost anywhere. Our recent trip to Washington, DC and Knoxville, TN was a little slice of heaven — meeting so many new friends (like Christi in this fun photo), digging deep into the work of the kingdom, and sensing the Father’s pleasure was, well…heavenly. What an honor it was to help lead the nation in prayer last Thursday — the Caucus Room on Capitol Hill was filled to overwhelming and earnest, honest prayers on behalf of our country’s leaders were lifted high to the throne of God. Ken and I are committed to making the National Day of Prayer a national year of intercession for government leaders, justices and the military.

The day we left Knoxville, a woman slipped me a little thank you note, and when I read the Bible verse she enclosed, it brought a smile. First Timothy 6:18-19 says, “Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.” It’s my prayer that you, too, may take hold of the life that is truly life… for it is all joy, peace and righteousness! Thank you, dear friend, for praying… it was a wonderful ministry trip!!
