Beyond Our Limitations

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. It seems like every day there’s a different reason for thinking of how great Jesus is! And this morning I read Hebrews 4, which says the Lord himself shared fully in all our weaknesses. Oh, that blows me away. To think that we have a Savior who understands exactly how we feel in our limitations. That’s good news, especially to me in this wheelchair. And I know you’ve got limitations you’re really struggling with. But here’s the thing: Jesus took on our limitations, so that you and I could break beyond them! We can be more than conquerors. What’s more, God gets the glory because he gives us the strength to overcome. When I think of how we can break beyond our limitations today, simply because of the Lord Jesus – simply because he willingly “handicapped” himself – I say “Hallelujah!” That’s a thought that makes us love him all the more today.
