Belonging to the Lord
Isn’t it wonderful to feel like you belong? Hi, this is Joni Eareckson Tada, and everybody wants to feel like they belong to something – even better, to someone. The safest and most comforting feeling is being firmly convinced that you belong to a person who loves you. A secure sense of belonging like that will see you through anything, right?! And that’s why it’s so great to belong to the Lord! He bought us and we’re His. Like the Bible says, “I am His and He is mine.” We are the Lord’s possession. We’re purchased by God. Friend, we’re owned by Him. And, oh, at such a price! That is belonging in the best sense of the word.
So, if you are struggling with loneliness today, or if you feel insecure; if you are looking for someone to really belong to, someone who will possess you and hold onto you and never let you go, then look no further than the Lord Jesus. In Him, you belong!
